Your next Outer Banks beach vacation awaits at Sea Salt Cottage! Across the street from the ocean and featuring a private pool and incredible Sound views, Sea Salt is your beach house away from home. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths (it sleeps up to 8 people) and is located in the heart of Nags Head – steps from the beach, restaurants and shopping.

The large master bedroom and full bath is furnished with a plush, comfortable king bed and is tucked away on the first floor of the home. You’ll enjoy drinking coffee on the swing located off the master bedroom deck – a great place to relax and watch the family swim in the private backyard pool. There’s also sitting area in the master bedroom for beach reading or watching TV.

Two other bedrooms invite guests to relax and get their summer on! The queen-bed bedroom is a boho-chic inspired mid-century-modern beachy oasis. And the third bedroom is a bright, fun bunkroom that provides maximum sleeping flexibility for up to 4 people with custom-built in beds – one a built-in full-sized and the other a built-in bunkbed. It’s designed for kids AND adults to enjoy. A second full bath and a laundry closet with full sized high-efficiency washer/dryer complete the second floor. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVS, digital cable TV and DVD players. You’ll be fully connected throughout the home with high-speed WiFi.

Your family will love the entire third floor – just a few steps up from the second floor, where the living area provides plenty of seating and a large flatscreen TV. The large deck off the living area is a great place to sit in the evenings and take in the stunning sunset over the sound. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes stainless steel appliances and a full size dishwasher. There’s a Keurig and traditional coffeemaker for coffee lovers! The dining area offers table seating and bar stools for more casual meals.

Our guests have rave reviews for the home’s cleanliness and décor – and you’ll see why when you stay at Sea Salt. Our cleaners are top-notch and detail oriented. The décor is updated, clean and items are picked for comfort and convenience… down to the luggage racks in each room.

Location! Location! Location!
You will love this location on the Beach Road at Milepost 16.5 across the street from Jennette’s Pier. Beach access is right across the street at the pier – walk to the beach within a couple of minutes or drive over in seconds for free parking if you’re loaded up with a day’s worth of beach gear! Beach access points are lifeguard covered in season as well. The home sits just across the beach road at the junction to South Nags Head – it has partial beach views from the front windows and Sound views from the living room and back deck – including beautiful sunsets nightly!

The home is also just three houses down from Whalebone Park – a new playground with fun equipment for children of all ages – and a volleyball area and picnic tables.

Sea Salt Cottage is our family Outer Banks beach home that we love sharing with guests. We’ve been married 18 years and are parents to an amazing daughter. Amy’s family has been coming to the Outer Banks since the mid 1980s and we wanted to continue this tradition with our daughter. Amy is also a professional photographer and serves as the primary contact for renters and the property manager. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and crunches all the numbers for Sea Salt!

Why Did We Choose to Purchase a Home in Nags Head?
We consider Nags Head to be the most centralized point on the Outer Banks – allowing us to make day trips to see the wild horses in Corolla, explore the Cape Hatteras area or even catch the ferry to Ocracoke and still be back in the comfort of our Sea Salt beds for the evening.

We wanted a smaller home for more intimate vacations, but still felt it was important to have an in-ground pool. When we purchased Sea Salt, we immediately began working on the backyard design and had a pool put in. The backyard is one of our favorite spots – particularly as the sun goes down in the evenings.

We have truly enjoyed getting to know our guests each year and are honored that some of our guests have stayed with us every year since we started renting the home out in 2015. Renting directly to our guests allows us to get to know you better and gives you the assurance that there’s a face behind the rental process. We are available to our guests by phone or text at any time and respond to concerns as quickly as possible. Our goal is for guests to truly feel like Sea Salt is their home away from home.
