  • “This was our second time staying at Sea Salt Cottage. We picked up takeout from Sam & Omie’s on the way home (my son LOVES the cornbread). The rest of our weekend was spent at the outlets, random local stores, an afternoon drive to Rodanthe, breakfast at Stack em High one morning and The Dunes the next and dinner at our go to – Mulligans (the lemon poundcake dessert with ice cream and strawberries is amazing). We keep returning to Sea Salt for many reasons. 1. The house is clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated which we like. 2. The location is great – everything we could need is within >1 to 15 minutes away – many many things in walking distance. 3. We find it to be very affordable for a beach vacation. 4. The house comes with everything you could need and more – books, magazines, games, a welcome bag, beach chairs, pool toys, etc… I would hands down recommend renting Sea Salt to anyone – and I do all of the time!! Thanks Amy for being our new family go to getaway spot!”

  • "What a wonderful week in Nags head for my husband, myself, our daughters and son-in-laws. Plenty of space for for all six. Sea Salt is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. The house is well-appointed with a blend of high end mid-century and beach decor. Amy is an amazing host, who responds quickly and has thought of every detail including excerpts from books as artwork that welcome you to your week of rest and relaxation. The kitchen has every necessity and the desk area provided a convenient office away from home for my husband. The two decks were relaxing retreats and we enjoyed the pool, hammock, and corn hole each evening after long days on the beach that is a short walk across the street. The house is stocked with chairs, towels, beach carts, and games. Restaurants, shopping, and activities are within walking or a short driving distance and we especially enjoyed the location for early morning walks. This is a house we plan to visit again!"

  • "My family of 4 just returned from the OBX, Nags Head. It was our first visit to the area and we could not have chosen a better property to stay at. The owner Amy is AMAZING to work with and responds almost immediately. She made this trip one of the best Turkey Relief mini vacations we’ve ever had. Since it was Thanksgiving we still wanted to cook dinner. The cottage is GORGEOUSLY decorated and comes COMPLETELY equipped with everything you can imagine without missing anything from home. When she realized we would be cooking a traditional dinner, she immediately sent me a selection of roasting pans to me to choose from to accommodate the turkey. The Amazon box was on the front porch waiting for us the day we arrived. Because it was late fall, the pool was not open but we were not expecting it. The house is so well appointed and designed that you really just want to spend time in doors snuggled up or taking in a beautiful sunset of the Sound on the top deck. SeaSalt cottage was everything I expected and more for me and my family. It allowed us to decompress and get away from the daily activities and stress of a typical family while encouraging family time with minimal distractions from electronics. We LOVED SeaSalt Cottage and plan to visit again, soon."

  • Our family had an amazing stay at the Sea Salt Cottage. Amy meticulously thought of everything to make the Sea Salt Cottage warm and cozy. The house was tastefully decorated creating a relaxing beach theme. The Sea Cottage was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The bunk bed room along with the pool and the porch swing was a big hit with our kids. The Sea Cottage was conveniently located right next to the beach and Jeanette's Pier. Overall, the Sea Salt Cottage felt like home which made it a memorable pleasant vacation for us.

  • This was our first trip to OBX and after hours of poring through listings and reviews I decided on Sea Salt Cottage. It definitely lives up to the listing description, photos, and positive reviews. What sets it apart is that the owners really care about your vacation experience, and have decorated and equipped the house with that in mind. Even the house rules are presented in an informative but warm way. A few things we especially liked- the large master is on the first floor, the queen and bunk room are on the next level and the living room and kitchen are 1/2 level up on the top floor. This gives all the bedrooms a more private and tucked away feel from living area. The decor is soothing and it took several days to just take in all the details. Motion detector nightlights in the bathrooms and sound machines in bedrooms were a great touch. We enjoyed the gas grill the first night to fix an easy dinner after traveling. It is a good location on OBX, there’s an abundance of restaurants, ice cream shops, stores, and activities like water sports and go-carts just a short drive away or walk in some cases. We easily explored both north and south from this location. Overall this is an excellent property with attentive owners and nice amenities to make for an enjoyable vacation.

  • Sea Salt Cottage is absolutely beautiful- clean and beautifully decorated. The location is amazing, only a short walk to the oceanfront and located close to many options for food and snacks. We spent most mornings by the private pool (clean and refreshing!) and then walked down to the beach to spend the afternoons. Our stay occurred over the Fourth of July. We could see fireworks from the front of the house and the back porch, which was super nice. Amy has thought of everything that you may need while visiting- fully stocked kitchen and a mini fridge in the master bedroom close to the pool, towels, pool floats, beach toys, and board games and movies for the nights in. We would absolutely recommend Sea Salt Cottage and will be looking to stay again!
