Sea Salt Cottage is located at the 16.5 milepost on the beach road in Nags Head, North Carolina. The location is magically situated directly across from the beach and just a block or so from the Sound to the west – so the Sound views from the back deck are incredible. How close are we to the beach? You and see AND hear the windmill turbines at Jennette’s Pier when you’re standing in the driveway. (And see it from any front rooms of the house!)
Guests love being able to park their cars and walk to many locations during their stay.
Some favorite locations within walking distance include:
– Sam & Omie’s Restaurant
– Owen’s Restaurant
– Dune Burger Hamburger Stand
– KFC/Taco Bell
– Cahoon’s Supermarket
– Bike, walk and jog on the trail across the street on the beach road
– Super Wings for fun souvenirs
Tanger Outlets – 1/2 mile away
Manteo – 5 minutes away
Jockey’s Ridge – 7 minutes away
Oregon Inlet Fishing Center – 15 minutes away
Hatteras Island – An Hour Away
While the home is convenient to many of these businesses, we are happy to report that the home is very quiet. One of the benefits of being built to withstand modern hurricanes is that the home blocks out most of the noise associated with being so close to the beach and businesses!
We do not allow pets during our summer rental period. Off season, small pets may be considered with payment of a pet fee. Please email or call the owners to discuss or use the Contact Us on this website to send your inquiry. Service animals (documentation required) are always allowed.
To make it easier for our summer guests (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) who are often traveling long distances, we are pleased to include linens for your stay. All beds will be freshly made for your arrival and a bath set (bath towel, hand towel and washcloth) are also provided for all renters.
During the rest of the year, linens are not included and guests may bring their own or rent linens while on the Outer Banks. Guests will be provided with linen rental company information in the lease agreement. Many of our off season guests bring their own or rent linens from Outer Banks services.
